Wild, whirling dances from Falla and Turina, delicate fairy tales from Ravel – it’s a fiesta in sound, even before Boléro strikes up that unstoppable beat.
But we couldn’t spend a night in Spain without hearing the classical guitar, and tonight the Coruña-based Spanish Galicia Symphony Orchestra is joined by dazzling young French guitarist Thibaut Garcia in that most Spanish of all guitar concertos: Rodrigo’s haunting and much-loved Concierto de Aranjuez.
